Day Two

Fun day today. Eliza got her first bath. She didn't really care for it. It was the first time we heard a full-on cry. Afterwards, we had a good morning play session. It was the first time we heard a full-on giggle. Very rewarding.
The three of us ventured out to the department store to purchase "squeaker" shoes. Then to the grocery store for bottled water, soup for lunch, bananas, potato chips, and a sampling of four Chinese beers. The grocery bill was $4.14. The price is right. And the chips tasted so good: transfats and MSG.
When walking the town, lots of folks approach us to see Eliza and find out who we are. It gives me a chance to practice what I learned in Mandarine class. My language skills are pretty poor though. Probably more effective just to smile and nod.

God is so good. I burst into tears of joy when I saw the pictures. Andrew and Zachary said, "Blow your nose, she is really cute." "Wow Aunt Jane looks really happy." Smart kids. I know you guys are just bursting with love and happiness. As we are too. She is having a great time. So beautiful. Love your journal. Thank you for the time it takes, new mommy and daddy.
Much love, Stephanie and Pete

She is so very, very beautiful! I have no doubt that she will have outstanding muscle tone by her first birthday since she has two amazing parents to work with her. Congratulations and more pictures please. Girls do rule!

Beautiful! Beautiful! What a joy to see her with you both! I cried too when I saw Jane giving Eliza that bottle. She may have weak muscles, but she's not under-nourished! It won't be long and you'll be trying to keep up with her.

Our prayers and love are with you all each day. Dad
