The memories of our trip to China are fresh and sweet. Seeing her for the first time, watching her while a nanny from the orphanage soothed her, watching as the same nanny approached us and presented Eliza to us!! Remembering the first few days with Eliza is still very emotional.
She was so weak, gentle, and scared.
Now our dear girl has such fantastic energy and joy. We are beyond blessed. She is changing so quickly. Thank goodness for pictures and video. My memory just can't retain all the information I want it to. My heart is a different story...it remembers everything and grows in love everyday.

Jane!! Oy my gosh...she looks wonderful! I can't believe she is walking so well! I am so proud of her :) Karen shared this site with me, and I look forward to keeping an eye on this sweet little girl! You will have to bring her in for a visit. I would love to see you both. I miss seeing you two each week. Looks like you are doing well!!

I pulled up your pictures and had a one year celebration with my coworkers that so closely watched your 2 week trip to China to get Eliza. They were amazed at how much she has grown, and we are all so excited about her walking. You all look fabulous. Much love from Gu gu, Aunt Stephanie
